The U.S. government has been partially shut down since October 1, and America is at risk of default if Congress does not raise the debt ceiling.  Congress must overcome its dysfunction and act in the best interests of the nation.  Please raise your voice today to urge Congress to act quickly to restore government services and confidence in the U.S. financial system.  Send an email to urge your Representative and Senators to act today to re-open the government, avoid default, and negotiate in good faith to eliminate sequestration. Lack of action on these very serious issues is harming public health, education and scientific research.
