How do you switch to digest mode?

The easiest way is to go to http://funfaculty.org , log in to your account, click "My account" on the top-right corner, then "Mailing List" in the list of tabs that appear.  From there, just choose the "Subscribe to digest".

You can also change your subscription settings directly here:  http://lists.funfaculty.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/FUN_Mail

One other pro-tip: be sure your posts to the listserv originate from the email you've registered at funfaculty.org, otherwise the email won't go through to the listserv.

One of the goals in launching the listserv was to get conversation going amongst FUN members, just as Jeff did with his piece about training future neuroscientists.

At the same time, we're all protective of our inboxes, and it can be a bit overwhelming to check email to find a pack of FUN listserv messages waiting for you.

Fortunately, you can have the best of both worlds-you can set your listserv subscription to daily digest, in which case you will receive just one email a day with the headers and links to all the email conversation for that day.    That way you can keep up with as much or as little of the conversation as you'd like without an overflowing inbox.

How do you switch to digest mode?
