DAVIDSON COLLEGE invites applications for a RENEWABLE THREE-YEAR FACULTY/ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION IN HUMAN NEUROSCIENCE.
This position is a three-year renewable appointment teaching jointly in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience Program [60%] with administrative responsibilities in the Center for Teaching and Learning [40%], beginning August 1, 2016<x-apple-data-detectors://0>. Human neuroscience may include the following areas of expertise: clinical neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, human neuropsychology, or social neuroscience. Competitive candidates will have a Ph.D. in Psychology.  For the 60% teaching responsibilities, candidates will teach three undergraduate courses a year, possibly including introductory psychology, human neuroscience, and other courses supporting psychology, neuroscience, and health sciences. The department has particular interest in supporting the biological and physiological foundations of psychology. For the 40% administrative responsibilities, candidates will work with the Associate Dean of Faculty to design and conduct assessment and evaluation of teaching, research, and grant activities in Academic Affairs. In this role, the candidate will be a member of the Center for Teaching and Learning team, contributing expertise and/or strong professional interest in working with faculty and staff to improve student learning.
