Good evening all,
I have no idea how widely this conference has been disseminated, but thought I would share. I’ve heard great things about Gordon conferences, but have yet to attend.

Hope all is well as we plow through the end of the semester,
Amy Jo

Dear Colleagues,

We are writing to let you know about the second Gordon Research Conference on "Modulation of Neural Circuits & Behavior: Origins and Diversity of Neuromodulatory Mechanisms that Serve Basic Biological Needs," June 4-9, 2017, in Newry, Maine, which might be of interest to you or your colleagues.

We have a very strong lineup of invited speakers, with a mix of established leaders and junior researchers in the broad field of neuromodulation (see attached announcement and meeting program). I would appreciate it if you could help disseminate this email and the flyers of this GRC among your colleagues.

This is an excellent opportunity for week-long direct contact with leaders in the field and to establish long-term association with peers across the vast field of neuromodulation. Some of the short talks will also be selected from the poster abstracts. Several travel fellowships have been set up for faculty applicants from primarily undergraduate institutions. Under-represented minorities are especially encouraged to apply.

Please apply online at: https://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=16915.

The application deadline is May 12th (late applications may be considered only on a case-by-case basis by the co-chairs).

Applicants interested in travel support should please contact the co-chairs via email in addition to your online application.

Best,

Chun-Fang and Joy
