Hi Judy,

I'd be happy to help too. I run an undergraduate research course where I have 10 students per semester working on my research project. It was designed by my department to increase undergraduate research opportunities. A few of the students have continued working with me as independent study students & one will be on a manuscript. The course was developed in 2015, so this fall will be my 4th class.

Best,

Leslie

Subject: [FUN_Mail] advice on undergrads in the research lab

Hi Judy,
I have been mentoring undergraduates in my lab in a Medical school for over 30 years. Many of them have names on my publications, including several first authorships. I would be happy to advise.

Best regards,
Teri Milner

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [FUN_Mail] advice on undergrads in the research lab

Hi all,

I vaguely remember that I saw something about a workshop or presentation on how to productively involve undergrads in the research lab. We are trying to increase the number of labs that include undergrads, particularly at our med school. Is there someone in the FUN group, or someone that this group can refer me to, that would be interested in leading a workshop on this topic? I have identified people in our research and our administrative offices that are interested in paying to bring someone in.

Thanks in advance,

-Judy Ogilvie
