In addition to Amy Jo’s excellent information you may also wish to direct your aspiring neuroscience graduate students to the Nu Rho Psi Guide to Graduate School<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.nurhopsi.com_drupal_sites_nurhopsi.org_files_webfiles_execfiles_NRP-2520Guide-2520to-2520Grad-2520School-25207-5F28-5F13-5FPOSTED.pdf&d=DwMGaQ&c=nE__W8dFE-shTxStwXtp0A&r=t_ZPknbzMTSDIFXR_2gvnw&m=lJYhhDz50N0C9RKykCboJx5C2iYxb1ZHGA_JubGewXs&s=H9TTrJmOiNoj0BZSJzgDwfDyC2o9d3b0BOIBaE_LXnM&e=>, authored by Zoe Hesp, Ph.D. It’s a few years old but still great information.

Cheers,

Andy Mickley

Good afternoon all,
I wanted to draw your attention to a NeurOnline post that might be helpful to your undergrads — and to you, so you don’t have to say the same thing 20 times (now that we know they can access it for free). I was interviewed by an SfN staffer at the annual meeting and she wrote up that interview in the post that I am sharing here. The title is, "How to Choose a Grad School (and Decide When to Start)”. These are my thoughts only - if you read it and don’t agree, then don’t share it, but if it helps you, great. Looking forward to seeing many of you in San Diego.
