Please share this with undergraduates thinking about applying to graduate school and their advisors…

Graduate Admissions in the Time of Covid-19
An international panel discussion on August 19, 1-2pm CDT
https://neuronline.sfn.org/training/graduate-admissions-in-the-time-of-covid19

As I understand it, they will address questions like:

  1. Will your school have revised expectations for applicants this year?
  2. Are you planning to change the interview process this year?
  3. How do you plan to recruit and advertise this year (e.g. without the Grad Fair at SfN)?

Best,
Erik Herzog

Subject: [FUN_Mail] NOMINATIONS WANTED!! - SICB M.Patricia Morse Award for Excellence and Innovation in Science Education!

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share an opportunity for someone to nominate a Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology member for the Morse Award for Excellence and Innovation in Science Education. I know some of us attend SICB or are active members so, I wanted to share this opportunity with you to nominate someone you know. Here’s the info.:

Do you know a SICB member who is a terrific educator? Please nominate them for the M. Patricia Morse Award for Excellence and Innovation in Science Education! Applications are due on August 24. You can find more information, including the nomination form, at the following link. Note that you can self-nominate for this award as well.

Please also note that nominators have a few documents to submit on behalf of the educator you are nominating (see link) so, if you are interested start early. 😊.

As a member of the SICB Education Council, I ask that you share with your respective colleagues at your institutions or through your conference networks.

Thank you!
Veronica
