Hi, Judy (and all FUN Listserv members)-
Thank you for your question. The FUN Executive Committee has been working with SfN Council, leadership, and staff over the last few months to determine the safety, feasibility, and logistics of hosting the FUN Undergraduate Poster Session at this year's SfN meeting. As soon as we can, we will send out information to the FUN membership, along with information about the 2021 Travel Award program.
Regardless of what happens at SfN, we are planning to host the Neuroscience Undergraduate Research Virtual Symposium (NURVS), so that students will have the opportunity to present their work to a national (virtual) audience and to interact with researchers and potential graduate advisors. Look for an announcement on this later in the summer.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!
Best,
-Kurt

Does anyone know if there are any plans for FUN to do anything at SfN this year and/or if there is any support for undergrads attending? I have a group of three students that are participating in a summer research program and we have funds to send them, but the mentors in their summer research labs may not be attending SfN. For the past decade or so, I attend a meeting in my research field, so am not the best person to give guidance. I'm hoping to recruit some grad students or postdocs from my institution, but any other suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
-Judy O
