Announcing the Open Neurodata Showcase

Co-hosted by the Allen Institute OpenScope Program, DANDI Archive, Neurodata Without Borders (NWB), and The Kavli Foundation.

This is a free, virtual event and is open to anyone.

The day will begin with introductory talks about the Neurodata Without Borders (NWB) data standard<https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://nwb.org/__;!!Mih3wA!E8lXoKJGRhRoFjnit5jjEyzqGCKl5RbvZog5-erSn0mVXW7sNCcBmeXCs3HQxYT1dbq6bo4n1iHIXnFrTrpCLDyDo7N-$>, the DANDI archive<https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://dandiarchive.org/__;!!Mih3wA!E8lXoKJGRhRoFjnit5jjEyzqGCKl5RbvZog5-erSn0mVXW7sNCcBmeXCs3HQxYT1dbq6bo4n1iHIXnFrTrpCLEMKYtmK$>, and the OpenScope program<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://alleninstitute.org/what-we-do/brain-science/research/mindscope-program/openscope/__;!!Mih3wA!E8lXoKJGRhRoFjnit5jjEyzqGCKl5RbvZog5-erSn0mVXW7sNCcBmeXCs3HQxYT1dbq6bo4n1iHIXnFrTrpCLKqXDoKH$>. The second half will include a roundtable discussion on data reuse, followed by a series of data blitz presentations and a virtual poster session. During the data blitz, invited speakers will present high-value datasets they have contributed to the DANDI archive. Finally, we will hold a virtual poster session on Gather for open discussion between data contributors and attendees.

We welcome anyone interested in existing neurophysiology data, including but not limited to:

  *   Neuroscience graduate students, post-docs, and other researchers interested in using open data in their research
  *   Educators who want to use real datasets in their lessons
  *   Undergraduates and high school students interested in learning about neuroscience
  *   Open science advocates and enthusiasts
