Hendrix College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology position to begin in August 2023. The College seeks to extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college. We are seeking candidates with a background in experimental psychology with specialization in biological psychology. Teaching responsibilities will include some combination of the following courses: Introduction to Psychology, Brain & Behavior, Statistics, Research Methods with laboratory, a class in the candidate's specialty area, and a rotating seminar or capstone course in the Study of the Mind program. Teaching responsibilities will support the following majors: Psychology<https://www.hendrix.edu/Catalog/2022-2023/Academic_Departments_and_Programs/Psychology/>, Study of the Mind/Neuroscience<https://www.hendrix.edu/Catalog/2022-2023/Academic_Departments_and_Programs/Study_of_the_Mind___Neuroscience/>, and Health Science<https://www.hendrix.edu/Catalog/Academic_Departments_and_Programs/Biology_and_Health_Sciences/>. Teaching load will be six courses (three per semester). Doctorate is preferred; ABD will be considered.
