Description

The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, in the College of Arts & Sciences, at Baylor University invites applications for two full-time lecturer faculty positions beginning in August 2023, with a possibility of appointment as early as January 2023. We are seeking applicants with strong interest and experience in teaching psychology or neuroscience courses at the undergraduate level. These appointments are full-time teaching-focused positions, whose primary responsibilities are in instruction, mentoring, and service. We seek two creative, engaging, and collaborative faculty members who will contribute positively to the department's culture of innovative teaching, student-centered mentoring, and dedicated service to our undergraduate programs. Candidates should be able to teach courses across the Psychology and Neuroscience curriculum.

The Department offers undergraduate degrees in psychology and neuroscience and serves over 800 undergraduate majors as well as two doctoral programs. Qualifications

A doctoral degree in psychology, neuroscience, or related fields is required by the time of appointment. We welcome applications from individuals in all sub-disciplines of psychology and neuroscience, but we have a preference for candidates who can teach courses such as (1) introductory neuroscience, cognition, learning and behavior, sensation and perception, clinical neuroscience, and/or neuropharmacology; or (2) introductory psychology, psychopathology, theories of psychotherapy and counseling, introduction to clinical psychology, multicultural psychology, and/or developmental psychology.
