[FUN_Mail] NIH Blueprint Neurotech “incubator hubs” announce funding; opportunity for neurotech collaboration

I’m writing as a member of the steering committee for neurotech incubator hubs.
Pre-proposal submission deadline October 24th!
They are sincerely interested in collaborations and applications from all kinds of institutions. In additional to major initial awards there are “seedling” grants of $50,000, which could lead to a major subsequent award. An important focus of the award is mentoring the teams, and the ultimate goal is clinical translation.

Here is the more formal description:

“The NIH Blueprint Neurotech incubator hubs have just released a solicitation for rapid transformation of emerging technologies into commercially-viable, clinically-focused neurotechnology-based solutions for disorders of the nervous system.
 
A major emphasis of this program is to create opportunities for diverse innovators, including those who have been traditionally underrepresented in the neurotech space.
 
Awards will be up to $500,000 in direct costs each year, for a period of up to 3 years. Coaching from experienced mentors with expertise in commercializing neurotech devices is a unique feature of this program.”
