Hello, FUN members and friends,
This is a reminder that abstract submissions for the 2023 FUN Undergraduate Poster Session are due this Sunday, or when the limit of 130 posters is reached. Information and a link to the submission form are available at https://www.funfaculty.org/postersession.
The Poster Session will be held in conjunction with the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) Annual Meeting on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm on the main floor of the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. The call for abstracts will remain open until 130 submissions are received, or Sunday August 20, 2023, whichever occurs first.
The FUN Undergraduate Poster Session showcases undergraduate student research to the entire SfN community, connecting undergraduate students with other trainees and graduate school advisors who attend the meeting. Any undergraduate student attending Neuroscience 2023 and sponsored by a FUN member may present a poster. The FUN poster abstracts are not reviewed by SfN and a student does not need to present the work as part of the regular SfN meeting.
Each student abstract must be sponsored by a current FUN member in good standing, and each FUN member can sponsor only one abstract submission. A member institution or program can sponsor one additional submission from their program. This year, we have 130 poster slots that will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Students must register for the SfN Annual Meeting to participate in the FUN Poster Session, but are not required to present their poster at the SfN conference. Please note that students who have applied for a FUN Travel Award must also submit their abstracts here to be included in the FUN poster session.
Faculty should sponsor a submission only if they can confirm that the student will attend the session in person. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
-Kurt
