Dear FUN colleagues,
I'd like to let everyone know about a PhD opportunity hosted jointly by University of St Andrews and University of Cologne.
The project will be integrative, involving both Drosophila neuroethology and biomechanics.
The title of the project is:
Moving softly: how the interplay of neuronal circuits and biomechanics enables complex movement in soft-bodied animals
Full details available here:

The student will have an opportunity to live and work both at St Andrews and in Cologne. Applicants from diverse backgrounds and all nationalities are welcome. Applications from physicists without neuroscience backgrounds are welcome.
I would be grateful if folks could forward link to any and all interested applicants. Feel free to pass along my contact information as well.
Thanks in advance,
Stefan Pulver
