Franco,

Erin is working on the FUN narrative for you. One thing I noticed that was missing was a deadline to send you the commitment. Let's hope that people will not put off responding once they see it.

Best luck.

Dear Yuan Yuan,

This is great! All the respondents are potential module writers and users. We are going to write their names in the narrative, I hope we can get a critical mass. I am adding Annie to this email, who is curating the folder with all the received LOCS. I already forwarded the one that came from Laura. Can you please also send me a short narrative describing scopes, size, and initiatives of FUN, and how they would fit with the consortium and the module creation?

Thanks!
Franco

Dear FUN members,

Dr. Delogu (LTU), Dr. Pestilli (UT Austin), Dr. Newman (UAB), Dr. Koyejo (Stanford) and the Faculty for Neuroscience Education (FUN) network are working on a collaborative NSF-IUSE grant proposal entitled “IUSE: Collaborative Research: Neuroscience Education Consortium (NEDU): Advancing undergraduate scientific literacy through cloud technology and Research Experience”. Our main goal is to create a sustainable community that works to make neuroscience and data science education more inclusive and openly accessible to institutions with limited access to neuroscience data and computational infrastructure. We propose to create a large consortium of undergraduate neuroscience educators who will develop, pilot, deliver, refine, and collectively integrate a system of original modules for undergraduate neuro- and data-science education. Such modules will be openly shared under creative common license so that everyone in the educational community in the USA and beyond will be able to choose within a large assortment of materials to use in their neuroscience, data science, biology and psychology courses. A project summary is attached.

If you are potentially interested in collaborating with our project, it would be great if you could support our proposal by signing the attached NSF LOC format using your organization's letterhead.

Thank you in advance for your interest and support.

Best Regards,

Annie
