[FUN_Mail] Do you teach a cross-disciplinary Neuro course?

We only crosslist our core neuroscience courses, but the neuroscience major includes elective options from anthropology (Biological Anthropology, Linguistic Anthropology, and Primate Social Behavior). Our Neuroscience degree also has a requirement for one neuroscience-related humanities course to reinforce the interdisciplinary nature of field. They choose from a list of three options: Mind and Brain (Philosophy), Neuroethics (Health Care Ethics), and Medicine, Mind, and Victorian Fiction (English). I don't teach any of them, but I could ask the Neuroethics prof if he is available if you are interested, or talk about how the requirement evolved and why it is included.

Hello all,
Do you teach a class that cross lists with an area outside of STEM? For instance, a Neuroscience and Dance, Neuroscience and Music, Neuroesthetics class, etc. If so, please email me – ajstavnezer at wooster.edu<mailto:ajstavnezer at wooster.edu> I would love to gather information and also invite you to participate.

The March 31 FUN Final Friday (4 pm ET) will focus on Thriving in the changing landscape of higher education by engaging in cross and inter-disciplinary thinking and teaching. As many of our institutions are asking us to do more with less, as we undergo academic program reviews, and limp along with fewer faculty lines, we know that interdisciplinarity is a key – but Neuro is already an interdisciplinary science – so how do we reach out even further in meaningful ways? Join us on March 31 to share those ideas.
