The Ithaca College Department of Psychology invites applications for a tenure-eligible Assistant Professor position in Behavioral Neuroscience to begin August 2024. Teaching responsibilities will include Behavioral Neuroscience, a Senior Seminar in Behavioral Neuroscience, a course in their area of specialty, a credit-bearing undergraduate Research Team in Behavioral Neuroscience, and other courses as needed. A successful applicant will make use of a dedicated laboratory space to establish a research program that provides opportunities for undergraduate mentorship.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field by August 2024. In addition, the successful applicant should have teaching experience and a commitment to teaching undergraduates. Special consideration will be given to those who have demonstrated the potential to succeed as a neuroscience researcher. Applicants whose work demonstrates a commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education are particularly encouraged to apply.

Our Department

The Psychology Department provides a supportive atmosphere with a dedicated, accessible faculty made up of active scholars who evidence a passion for teaching. In addition to our Psychology major, IC offers a vibrant and growing Neuroscience minor that includes students from across campus, and we seek candidates who embrace integrative learning.
