[FUN_Mail] PhD opportunity in Germany and Scotland - deadline for applications extended

Hi FUN colleagues,


I’d like to let folks know about a PhD opportunity in Europe. I previously posted here a while back, but have decided to extend deadline for applications until May 31, so thought I’d reach out again.



Astrid Prinz (Emory University), Michael Pankratz (University of Bonn) and myself have won funding for a PhD student to bring together connectomics, physiology, and computational modelling to study the gut-brain axis in Drosophila larvae.  The project is a fully funded 3.5 year PhD (stipend+tuition) and the student would get to live and work in both Scotland and Germany. Project would involve computational modelling but could also include experimental work. Lateral thinkers and folks from diverse backgrounds are welcome. All nationalities are welcome. Flexible start date.
