Dear FUN members.
I'm a retired biology and neuroscience professor at Mount Holyoke College.
My third book, Dear Oliver: An Unexpected Friendship with Oliver Sacks,
will come out on January 30.  In December, 2004, I wrote a letter to Oliver
Sacks about my experience of gaining stereopsis in midlife, and he then
wrote about me in a New Yorker article titled "Stereo Sue."  Even after
Stereo Sue was published we continued to write, exchanging 150 letters over
a ten year period.  The book is a chronicle of our friendship.  You can
