Dear FUN Colleagues,

 We recently posted the following position and we ask you to share among
colleagues and students and postdocs:

Ramapo College of New Jersey invites applications for a tenure-track
Assistant /Associate Professor position in Neuroscience. Any area of
neuroscience will be considered, however those candidates with expertise in
1) Cognitive Neuroscience (e.g. Learning and Memory and Attentional
Processing), 2) Affective Neuroscience or 3) Computational Neuroscience are
encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in neuroscience or
psychology or a related field. The appointment will begin September 1, 2025.

*Review of applications will begin on September 15, 2024, and continue
until the position is filled.*

Examples of Duties

*Duties/Responsibilities:*

   -

   The position requires excellence in teaching and advising, professional
    and scholarly achievements, and a commitment to service to the
   institution
    and community.
   -

   · The successful candidate will be expected to teach (6) courses per
    academic year across the Neuroscience and Psychology curriculum with an
    interest in teaching Introduction to Neuroscience, Research Methods,
    Statistics, Cognitive Neuroscience, Behavioral Neuroscience,
    Neuropsychopharmacology, Neuroscience Capstone and courses in the
    applicant’s area of expertise. Participation in Junior/Senior Research
   courses

   Preference will be given to candidates with the potential to develop an
    ongoing program of research into which undergraduate students can be
    integrated.


Qualifications

*Education/Experience:*

   -

   Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in neuroscience or psychology/related
    field by the appointment start date of September 1, 2025.
   -

    Successful applicants must show commitment to undergraduate
    teaching, potential for success in scholarly achievement and
   productivity, and
    commitment to service to the institution and community.
   -

    Applicants whose work demonstrates a commitment to diversity and
    inclusion, cultural competency, and/or social justice in higher
   education are
    particularly encouraged to apply.
