*The Macalester College Neuroscience Program invites applications for a
two-year full-time, non-tenure-track visiting assistant professor position
to begin Fall 2025.* The successful candidate will be able to teach
Neuroanatomy (with lab) and advanced Neuroscience electives in areas that
intersect with psychology. Candidates are not expected to conduct research
but opportunities may be available. A strong commitment to liberal arts
education, experiential learning, and undergraduate research activities is
essential. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. In
addition, candidates relying on an OPT Visa with a STEM extension are not
eligible for hire.
*Qualifications:*
The ideal candidate has a PhD in neuroscience or psychology, but ABD
candidates will be considered. This position is renewable for the 2026-27
academic year, pending review of teaching.
