Good afternoon FUN friends!
The FUN Final Friday team welcomes you back to the new year with a discussion-based session to consider what are the options for encouraging student inquiry when funding is limited? Though we probably all wish for a blank check to facilitate research at the undergraduate level, we also probably all know that is not the reality.
In this session, we will discuss options for using open data as the basis for student projects, we will consider the pros and cons of systematic reviews and meta-analyses and think about ways to use place-based learning as a way to engage students in the process of research. The goal of this conversation is to help plan for summer research projects and/or course-embedded projects for next fall. Come with your questions and ideas, we look forward to seeing you Friday!
